Way 1: Update Your Fall Creators Update

After launching of Windows 10, most of the users are facing from this Audio enhancement wproblem. Always a prompting window will appears on the screen while playing an audio. And this bug may be due to the Fall Creators Update. To resolve this bug follow this procedure below.

Initially, you need to open the Run command box by pressing the four flag symbol Windows key and the letter R at the same time. After that type winver on it and then click on OK to execute this command. This will navigate you to the About Windows window; here you can see the version of your OS. If you see that the version is older than 1709, then you need to proceed with the steps as discussed in the next line.

Again you need to open the Run Command box and then on it type “control update” and hit on the Enter button. Now, this will open the Windows Update window, from here you need to click on Check for updates. After that, wait until it downloads the updates. Next, a prompted window will appear next to restart your system. You need to confirm it to perform the restarting job now you will be able to see that your Audio Enhancement problem will be resolved. After doing this if you don’t get the solution then you need to follow the further procedures as explained below.

Upgrade Your Audio Driver

If your audio devices are not compatible with your pre-installed audio driver, then it may be a reason for which Windows has detected that audio enhancements problem. To resolve this, updating or reinstalling of the audio driver is the best option. Below is the quick guide to perform this.

At first, open the Run command box by pressing the Windows key along with the letter R simultaneously. Then type devmgmt.msc on it and hit on the Enter button or you can simply select on OK to execute this Run box command. Now this will take you to the Device Manager window, scroll down until you reach to Sound, video and game controllers. After that expand this Sound, video and game controllers section by clicking on it. Then go to Realtek High Definition Audio and right click on it.

After that choose on ‘Update driver’ from the available options. Next, you need to select on ‘Search automatically for updated driver software’. After doing this it will show you all the updates available if any. Then try to download and install it on your device. Run Windows Troubleshooter

If the above two procedures do not work for this problem, then let us start the Windows troubleshooter. This is an inbuilt tool in every Windows OS which helps you to detect the causes of the issue.

First of all press the Windows key along with the letter R at the same time to open the Run command window. Then on it type “control.exe /name Microsoft. Troubleshooting” and hit the Enter button to execute this command. Next, it will take you to the Troubleshoot window. After that start scrolling down until you find Hardware and Devices section.  After selecting on it press the “Run the troubleshooter” box. Then keep patience until it stops the investigation.

Further, from this window, you need to select on the device which is causing the problem. After that select on Next.

The error is quite regular with the generic audio driver. But if you have no idea about the device which is causing this issue then start with the Realtek High Definition option and then click on Next.

After doing this the troubleshooter is able to identify the cause which is related to the Audio Enhancements. Then a window will appear in front of you and you need to click on “Yes, Open Audio Enhancements”.This will navigate you to the Speakers Properties window, now make a tick on the Disable all sound effects checkbox and hit on Apply.

Once the sound effects are disabled, navigate back to the Troubleshoot window and hit on Apply this fix. After this process gets over, run your PC normally and check if the issue persists.
