  • In the window, type starts Firefox -safe-mode and hit Enter.
  • This will open the Firefox Safe Mode pop-up.
  • Select the Start in Safe Mode option.

Your browser will be launched with disabled add-ons and extensions.

Create Shortcut to Start Firefox in Safe Mode

If you frequently need to start Firefox in safe mode, you can create a shortcut for that.

  • Right-click the Firefox shortcut on the desktop,
  • Select Properties.
  • Click the Shortcut tab.
  • At the end of the Target, field adds -safe-mode outside of the quotes.
  • Click Apply.

Now whenever you will double-click this shortcut, you will see the Firefox Safe Mode popup. You will have to click on Start in Safe Mode button and your Firefox will launch itself in the safe mode.
