Method 3: Repair BCD

For that, at first, you need a Windows 8 or 10 installation media which take on a USB formatted by a FAT32 file system. First process:

First of all, go to the black command prompt window. Then, write “Diskpart” in it and hit on the Enter key. Also, enter the list disk and tap on the Enter key. After that, write ‘Select disk 0’ and click on the Enter key to choose the disk in which you want to make a new EFI partition. Then, type the list partition and press the Enter key for making a list of all partitions. Enter on ‘Select partition 1’ and tap on the Enter key for assuming that the particular partition has kept either 200 MBs or more than that blank space in it.

Additionally, write shrink desired=200 and minimum=200 and hit the Enter key. Next, write create partition EFI and tap on the Enter key. Again, type the list partition and hit the Enter key. Now, write ‘Select Partition 2’ and hit the  Enter for considering that partition 2 is the newly created 200 MB partition. Then, type the format fs=fat32 and click on Enter. Thereafter, write volume and hit the Enter option to create a list of all volumes.

Second Process:

Keep in mind that, the volume of the new partition should be 200 MB. Write ‘Select vol 3’ and click on Enter key, considering that the volume number of the EFI partition which has been previously noted is 3. After that, type Assign and press the  Enter key. Again, enter the list vol and tap on the Enter key to notice Letter (ltr) that is assigned to the 200 MB EFI partition and write down the drive letter.

Additionally, you will have to identify and write down the drive letter (ltr) of the volume that have your Windows partition. In the info column, you can easily recognize it by finding for Boot. In most of the cases, it’s the drive letter C. After doing it, type bcdboot C:\Windows /l en-gb /s B: /f ALL and click on Enter, considering that the Windows drive letter is C and B is the drive letter that was assigned to your EFI partition.
