Method 1: Adjust Brightness From Power-options

  1. At first, on your keyboard press Windows + R to launch Run command.
  2. In the Run box type “devmgmt.msc” (Without quotes) and hit enter to continue.
  3. The device manager will open. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters menu by clicking on it.
  4. Right click on your GPU and choose Update Driver option.
  5. At the next window, click on Search Automatically for driver updates to check whether the installation process completed or not.
  6. After installation, reboot your computer and check the status of the trouble.

If the error persists with the new version of GPU driver then try to follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Go to the device manager from Run box and Right click on GPU driver and choose Update driver.
  2. Ater this process, you have to choose the Browse my computer for driver software option instead of choosing the first option.
  3. In the next Window, click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer option.

  3. Change the type from Switchable Graphics to Discrete Graphic.

  4. Now, double click on MD_EnableBrightnesslf2 and set the Value to 0. Then, repeat the same procedure with KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2.
  5. After this process, continue with the next key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Class \{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} \ 0001.
  6. Like the first process, double-click on  MD_EnableBrightnesslf2 and KMD_EnableBrightnessInterface2 to set their values to 0.
